Here are this week’s finds:
The photo above and the header image for this post are from a tour of a colorful, renovated historic (1890s) row house.
Lily Pulitzer’s print studio designed a t-shirt with the logo pictured above to show support for Texas and raise money for the American Red Cross. Let us hope and pray for better days ahead for all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Speaking of Lily Pulitzer, I enjoyed this article about her start in fashion design and the story behind her famous printed shift dresses.
This interview with Dallas based designer Lisa Henderson was interesting. I love the pretty and traditional rooms that she designs, such as the one pictured above.
There are so many sales out there this Labor Day weekend! Everything at J.Crew Factory is 50% off. I have had my eye on their city coat, above, since last winter. J.Crew is 30% off, Boden is 20% off, Loft is 30% off regular-priced items and 50% off sale items, and everything at Gap is up to 50% off. The home stores are in on it too–One King’s Lane is 20% off, Pottery Barn and West Elm have 15% off $100, Wisteria has 25% off and Ballard Designs is 20% off.
Rumor has it that my favorite interior designer, Mark D. Sikes, is going to redesign his beautiful Hollywood Hills home! Looking at the preliminary renderings, it appears as though it will be a blue and white paradise!
Happy Labor Day weekend!
