When looking at homes in magazines, I focus on how the homes’ spaces are styled. I enjoy the details, especially the vignettes that are created to adorn tables, shelves, and other surfaces. One of my favorite stylists and photographers, whose work I have noticed in several articles in Country Living, is Texas-based Becki Griffin. Becki creates vignettes with interesting natural elements and curiosities. Her business, which includes photography, decorating, and prop styling, is aptly named Curious Details.
Here are some photographs of vignettes from Becki Griffin’s beautiful portfolio:
Notice the preserved butterflies, old books, glass cloches, rocks, and shells.
Old sea glass bottles, plants, and landscape paintings:
Feathers, antique silver, and books:
Old black and white photos:
What wonderful conversation pieces Becki includes! Her vignettes are fascinating works of art that invite you to linger, examine, and touch the items in them.
