There are many beautiful block printed fabrics that are handmade in India. I am especially liking those from a fabric company called Les Indiennes, which was founded in 2002 by Mary Mulcahy. The company makes its products in India using ancient block printing methods, employing hand carved teak blocks and organic cotton and dyes.
Here are photos of a sampling of the block printed fabrics from Les Indiennes’ store in Hudson, New York:

I love how fresh and simple Les Indiennes’ designs and colors are. They are summery looking and would work well in a beach house or farm house. They also look nice in French country and Gustavian style rooms.
