Happy Mother’s Day weekend everyone!
This week the participants in the One Room Challenge revealed their newly decorated spaces. I mentioned in a Weekend Links post a few weeks ago, that the One Room Challenge is a challenge for designers and bloggers to totally redesign one room in their home over the course of six weeks. There were 20 featured designers who received sponsorships (House Beautiful is the official media sponsor) and several hundred guest participants.
I am always amazed at the incredible things these participants accomplish in such a short time. It is inspiring to those of us who move at a slightly slower pace!
I thought I would share my five favorite reveals with you today, showing before and after photos of the spaces.
Isn’t this an incredible transformation? Remember, this was done in just six weeks!! I love the green and white buffalo check chairs in the sitting room.
I love all the molding that was added to the walls and the lovely built in window seat and bookshelves adds so much character. The space is traditional but fun and cheerful.
3. The Pink Clutch Jack-and-Jill shared boy/girl bathroom:
Those green trellis hand painted walls (above) are fabulous! I also liked the ribbon trim on the bamboo shades–it might have to be my next DIY!
4. J&J Design Group’s Dining Room/Living Room reveal:
What do you think of that rug?!
5. Kelly Rogers Interiors a shared girls’ bedroom:
I am in love with the wallpaper and the bright blue Jenny Lind beds.
