A friend is re-doing her kitchen, and she is stuck on what pendant lights to choose for the area over her new island. I thought that I would do a little research and see if I could come up with a few options for her to consider. Here are some categories of pendant lights that I’m liking right now:
These beautiful orb lights (called the Hicks Pendant by Thomas O’Brien) are 25% off right now at Horchow. They come in both a small and large size and are available in all three metal finishes that are shown above.
However, they are expensive–around $600 a piece on sale. A good looking budget option is available from World Market for only $70 each!
Here is a very similar (I think it might be the exact same) brass lantern pendant, also from Horchow, where it is currently on sale for just over $400. Circa Lighting also has a very similar one in several finishes, but it is a bit more expensive.
Rejuvenation has some reasonably priced cone pendants in a variety of colors.
Barn lights are inexpensive and are a great choice for a modern farmhouse style kitchen. Ballard Designs offers a variety of sizes and colors and they are well under $100 each.
Woven pendants add great texture and a casual feel to a kitchen. Serena & Lily offers some well priced rattan pendants in different sizes and shapes.
That’s my roundup of kitchen pendant lights. There are so many great choices—it would be a challenge to pick just one!
