My sister, who has a beautiful vintage apartment in New York City, is thinking of redoing her kitchen banquette and asked me for some ideas. Kitchens in New York City apartments tend to be small, so I am focusing on banquettes that might work in a tight space. Banquettes are great for smaller kitchens, because they have the potential to add additional storage (in the benches), and you can squeeze lots of people into them if needed. They also add warmth, coziness, color, and character to a kitchen space.
Here are some pretty banquettes that I hope will provide some inspiration.
Which one is your favorite?
Tomorrow I will give you some ideas about where you can purchase decor for your banquette nook. See you then!
